How do I add buddies from other IM clients (AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, GoogleTalk, or Jabber) to my FWD buddy list?

There are two different ways to add buddies from other IM clients. The simplest way is to run the IM Networks Wizard in the Tools menu. This wizard will ask you enter your username and password for each IM client for which you have an account. If you do not have an account for one or more of the clients, simply hit the Next key to move on to the next client. At the completion of this wizard, a screen will appear to summarize which username was entered for which IM client. Please make sure that the correct username is attached to the correct account.

If you would like to directly configure your IM Network accounts, you can do that too through the File – Account Settings… command. After the dialog box appears, click the IM Network Proxies on the left side.

Note: You can only set up proxies to other IM clients for which you already have a screen name and account.
